Klinsmann will prepare for the Asian Cup against Iraq on the 6th of next month
Klinsmann will play the final warm-up match against Iraq ahead of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup.
The Korea Football Association (KFA) said on the 23rd, "Korea will play an exhibition match against Iraq at 10 p.m. on January 6th next year at the Abu Dhabi Stadium of New York University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)."
The Iraq match is designed to prepare for the games against Middle Eastern teams that will meet at the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar on Jan. 12. South Korea has not won an Asian Cup since the second event in 1960, but has been hamstrung by Middle Eastern teams at every important moment.
The Korean men's soccer team, led by coach Jürgen Klinsmann, will compete in Group E with Jordan, Bahrain, and Malaysia. Excluding Malaysia, two teams in the same group are Middle Eastern teams.
Iraq ranks 63rd in the FIFA rankings, which is lower than Korea (23rd). Korea is leading Korea with eight wins, 12 draws and two losses in 22 games.
Klinsmann will announce the final 26 players for the Asian Cup on January 28, and will depart for Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on January 2 next year. He will move to Qatar on January 10 after an exhibition match with Iraq. 토토사이트 추천
