Kankakee Grille Opens In Four Windy New Buffalo

Potawatomi's Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and Four Winds Casino are excited to announce that they will be opening the popular Kankakee Grill restaurant instead of the Hard Rock Cafe in Four Winds New Buffalo. The Hard Rock Cafe will close on Saturday, Oct. 31, and the Kankakee Grill will be open to the public by the end of 2020 after renovation. Four Winds Casino currently has the Kankakee Grill in South Bend, Indiana, where the restaurant offers a variety of comfortable dishes in guests' favorite modern styles. Four Winds New Buffalo's Kankakee Grill also offers a variety of live music and entertainment, and features comfortable outdoor seating as well as access to the Four Winds New Buffalo pool bar.

The Kankake Grill gets its name from the Kankake River, which starts its journey in South Bend, Indiana. The Potawatomi people used the rich environment of the Kankake River as food, shelter, medicine, and clothing. The name Kankake Grill honors the Kankake River and the ancestors of the Potawatomi Indian Pokagon Band.
